The business also aims to have more than just a client/supplier relationship with their business clientele, they assist with IT strategy and long term plans. They perform break/fix services for business clients, but also pro-actively manage their networks, servers, and associated hardware/software.

Job Description

Seeking new apprentices to join the business and help to support the 1st, 2nd Line support helpdesk. The job includes exposure to networking and will be focused around customer service.

Main role/ responsibilities

  • Provide 1st / 2nd/ 3rd line IT support, general helpdesk, systems repair, networking, configuration and support
  • Offer a good mix of software/hardware, Mac/PC/Server/Printer troubleshooting and repair
  • Light accounting duties (invoicing, occasional purchase orders)
  • Handling cash, and electronic payments

Services the business supply that you will have exposure to are:

  • Network planning and implementation
  • Wireless network configuration (multiple Wi-Fi point - centralised control)
  • IPSEC VPN Implantation for home workers (secure hardware remote working)
  • Server supply, configuration and support
  • Laptop and desktop supply, configuration and support
  • Antivirus software rollout and management

Qualities / essential requirements

  • Maturity
  • Good customer service
  • Passion in IT

Desired Qualifications

  • 3 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade D or above

Additional Information:

  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
  • May be subjected to adult content, candidate must be 18 and over to apply for this role.
