What is a degree apprenticeship?

A Degree apprenticeship is an apprenticeship programme which will enable you to earn a university degree.

It isn’t a qualification which is the equivalent level of a degree, it’s a degree. The same as anyone who goes to university would work towards achieving.

Our Degree programmes are accredited by the University of Roehampton and our degree graduates attend a graduation ceremony at Roehampton just like every other university student.

The QA & University of Roehampton Partnership

Our partnership with the University of Roehampton really enables us to deliver the best of both worlds.

On one side of the partnership, we have Roehampton which consistently scores highly in national league tables and was ranked as the best modern university in London in the 2015 Sunday Times University League Table. It was also classified in the Research Excellence Framework (2014) as “the most research-intensive modern UK University, with particular strengths in technical education research.”

The other half of the partnership is QA and we bring an unrivalled track record in technical training and education. Our apprenticeship programmes were graded Outstanding by Ofsted and we been directly operating in the Higher Education sector since 2011.

QA and Roehampton bring together our complementary skills to deliver our highly innovative Degree apprenticeship programmes.

Who does what?

Apprenticeships are on the up and up

Why are apprenticeships such a big deal?

  1. The government has pledged to create 3 million apprenticeship opportunities by 2020 to help develop futures for young people to focus on creating successful careers, not just successful test-takers.

  2. Apprenticeships allow you to progress all the way from GCSE to Degree so you are able to take your career as far as you want whilst remaining debt-free. You will also be building up years of work experience which large employers are currently looking for, putting you ahead of the graduates.

  3. An apprenticeship provides you with the right career-building skills not only for your role but also to succeed in any workplace so you can get hands-on knowledge and experience while you earn.
