Job Details:

Responsibilities of the IT Apprentice

  • Providing first line helpdesk support to staff for hardware, software, consoles, audio-visual, and telephone equipment.
  • Assisting with the purchase, setting up, maintenance and repair of computers, audio-visual equipment, consoles and computer-related equipment.
  • Installing and configuring software applications
  • Helping produce and maintain I.T. statistics, reports, checklists and other documentation as necessary
  • Assisting with the upkeep of the I.T. inventory.
  • Maintaining satisfactory standards of safety and security in relation to computer and equipment
  • Setting up, maintaining and organising repairs for various computing, audio visual and telephone equipment.
  • Escalating support cases to the relevant team when necessary
  • Maintaining and updating user accounts and profiles when necessary

Standards of Performance:

  • All work should be performed in a timely fashion and to a high standard

Requirements of the IT Apprentice

  • A basic understanding of;

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's (grade C and above) or equivalent including Maths and English
