Job Details:

Responsibilities of the IT Engineer Apprentice:


  • UK coverage for UPS Support.
  • Reactive service with a NBD SLA.
  • NHS client base, NON-IT environment.


  • Pre-modification on UPS (2 x 1m 32 Amp Hardwiring for 5, 6 and 8KVA)
  • UPS pre-test prior to install.
  • Prepare drop off deliveries.
  • Maintain stock levels of UPS, and all materials, keep warehouse tidy and maintained.


  • UPS installation (Van, Trolley, Cabling, PDU, Remote monitoring activation.
  • End user training/guidance.
  • Removal and Disposal
  • Annual maintenance visits (health checks)
  • All relevant paperwork filled in and signed for on the date of work carried out (Installation, PMV, Call-out)


  • Order management
  • Pre-sales, Post-sales support
  • Organising site visits with Lab/end user
  • UPS admin (Asset management Portal, UPS registration, Upload site forms and docs including images within 24 hours of work being completed)
  • NOC centre management (support)
  • Ticket management – raising new tickets against fault calls. Ensuring full details and the relevant engineer is allocated to the job.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, switched on individual who is well turned out, social and is keen to be in a customer facing role representing the business on a daily basis.

Salary & Benefits:

  • You will have a salary review after 6 months giving you a real opportunity to progress throughout and after your Apprenticeship.
  • An opportunity for Company bonus depending on company performance.
  • 20 days holiday excluding Bank Holidays.
  • Paid travel whilst on client site/training.
  • £14,000 per annum. £269 per week.
