Responsibilities

As a Cyber Security Apprentice, you will:

  • Help us protect our customers' data and preserve the security and integrity of their operations
  • Monitor and investigate cyber threats
  • Identify new and sophisticated methods of detection and prevention across our customers’ IT estates
  • Learn how to perform initial diagnosis of incidents identified and then take actions to resolve them swiftly
  • Ensure effective reporting on all areas of cyber security threat management

Qualifications required

- 5 GSCE’s grades A-C / Scottish Nationals, including Maths & English, plus 2 A-Levels / Scottish Highers

Other Important Information

Our working week – 37 hrs p/w, Monday-Friday

Additional Information

- The apprenticeship will blend on the job experience, face to face workshops and online learning, leading to Diploma in Information Security Professional SCQF 6 & 8, Microsoft certified Professional (MCP) and Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND1)
