Our digital brochure will tell you everything you need to know about this programme – from the different modules you will study to details on the end-point assessments.

What qualifications will you get?

In England

  • Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer (Java track) or Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Software Development Fundamentals (C# track)

Is this programme for you?

Our Software and Web Development Advanced to Higher programme is the perfect starting point for anyone wanting to begin a career in IT. But don’t just take our word for it, hear from some of our learners, Daniel and Kieran, who recently completed this programme with us.

Are you eligible?

Our Advanced to Higher programme is our most common entry point but if you have studied IT extensively in the past then you may be able to jump straight in at the half-way point (Higher). We will work with you to establish the most appropriate study route.

To qualify for this programme you need to have:

  • An interest in technology and coding definitely helps - but that doesn’t mean you have to have studied IT at school
  • Live in England? You will need 6 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C including Maths, plus GCSE English (or equivalent) at grade D or above
  • Live in Scotland? You will need 5 Standard Grades (Level 1 - 3) OR 5 National Level 5 Grades - both including Maths and English

Not quite got the right qualifications?

No dramas. Our Intermediate apprenticeship is a 14 week boot camp which will get you up to the level needed to start this programme.
