QA Apprenticeships partners with Oracle to deliver business-focused apprenticeships to help companies recruit and train new staff for roles such as Java software developer and Oracle database specialist.

What your apprentice will study
The technical training is delivered at either a QA academy or residential location, and your apprentice will have intensive training in the first few weeks to become productive right from the start.
Oracle apprenticeship
- One week induction with employer
- Two week boot camp covering Oracle database and product suite, and an introduction to databases
- Six further training weeks, every eight weeks, to include: Advanced database concepts; e-business suite; PL/SQL; consulting skills, and; an optional course and certification from QA Oracle catalogue
Java developers apprenticeship
- One week induction with employer
- Four week boot camp in Java programming
- Four further training weeks, every 12 weeks, to include: Object oriented programming; testing for developers; data modelling and SQL, and; an optional course and certification from QA catalogue
They'll also complete a work-based portfolio to give them rounded business skills. These include customer service, health & safety and professional development.
How long does the apprenticeship last?
12 months, after which the apprentice will be qualified and ready for full-time employment. Eight weeks of that are spend in off-site QA training on a block release basis.
Entry requirements
Seven GCSEs, A* - C including Maths, Science and English.
